Dr.L.Jegatha Deborah is currently the Head of the Department for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. She was handling both the departments- the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and the Department of Information Technology until the academic year 2009-2010. Since, then she is responsible for the activities, responsibilities and achievements for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering only. She is working as a teaching professional with over 8 years of experience and research works in the areas of Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing and Databases.
          She was graduated in the field of Computer Science and Engineering under Madurai Kamaraj University in the year 2002.She underwent her post graduate studies in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering under Anna University and was graduated in the year 2005. She also completed her doctoral program within the stipulated period of time under part-time category in the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering and was awarded the degree by the Chancellor of Anna University during March 2013.
          Her core areas of interest in the academics are Database systems, Data Mining, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing and many fields in connection to these areas. Apart from this she had published various research papers in connection to the above domains in many reputed National and International conferences and journals. She also possesses a good experience of overseas visits in attending International Conferences.
